Oh Oh I am Inspired

taken from book Flea Market Style

This wall has been decorated using swatches of vintage wallpaper. Some time ago I purchased an old sample wallpaper book (Ebay) from 1971. It has the most beautiful wallpaper swatches inside. So now that I have been inspired - I am going to work this week to transform something in my house. Watch out walls and doors, I am coming to find you!

  1. I love that book! I cannot wait to see what you do Simone. I am dying to do a feature wall in our bedrooms of wallpaper but my partner is not keen. I am still trying to talk him around to it! Have you seen the Lizzie Allen whimsical British wallpaper? I love that too! And Catherine Martin has done some lovely wallpapers for Porter. xx

  15. That just makes me smile - what a happy spot in your home that would be. I'm personally afraid of wallpaper, but have been pondering it's use lately. Maybe I will be brave like you...

  18. This patchwork effect is so pretty. Well done finding a wallpaper book with beautiful samples - all the ones I have found lately have been pretty ordinary. Enjoy transforming those walls and doors!

  20. A patchwork wall... what fun. I'd love to do a pale version.

I thought of you out while out shopping a few days ago, found some precious candy colored striped washcloths. I started to say "Simone would love these", then realized Handsome would say "Who's Simone?"

  24. That picture is just gorgeous but I don't know if I'd be brave enough to do that in my own house.

I'm stopping by your blog for the first time (your comment about the rain on "a beach cottage" made me come over) and I love it. I love your cushion stack, I love your fabric pencils, I love your plate rack. Fantastic.
